If you have seen the major sights in Prague before or you are too tired of the crowds this tour is for you. I will take you to places where most tourists don’t go.
We will start our tour visiting Vysehrad, formerly a princely residence founded in the 10th century and later converted to a military fortress, we will walk around the ramparts & enjoy the views of Prague and the Vltava River.
I’ll tell you the legend about how Prague was founded and by whom. We’ll visit the Church of St Peter and Paul which has a neo-gothic character and a unique art-nouveau interior.
The Vysehrad National Cemetery, which is an art gallery of tomb stone design, belongs to the most important sights of the national heritage. Here you can find tombs of Bedrich Smetana, Antonin Dvorak and other significant personalities of the 19th and 20th centuries. Afterwards we will walk along the embankment and see some unique architectural designs of the 1900s to 1920s. We will also be passing the renowned Frank Geary´s building. It is suitable to combine this tour with an Art Nouveau Tour.
