Martina is an exceptional tour guide! Her detailed knowledge of local history and architecture is impressive and she listened carefully, matching our three day itinerary to our personal interests and preferences. She was not afraid to change details in real time to accommodate our whims; her English is excellent and she was great company throughout. We are happy to recommend her and would use her services again.

Martina was a wonderful tour guide for my husband and three children under age 11. We arranged the trip via last minute email, and Martina was very accommodating and easy to work with. She asked the children special questions as we went along and responded well to their interest, and concentrated on the adults when the kids’ interest was flagging. I appreciated getting an overview of Prague and Czech history, as well as her helpful pointers about things to do and how to arrange things even in the days after our tour. Thanks to her advice, we found a restaurant that exactly suited our food and location desires, had the confidence and understanding of how to arrange an independent day trip to Kutna Hora, learned about a children’s activity in town that we had literally walked right by and not seen, and got an introduction to public transportion that served us well for our remaining days in Prague. Basically, Martina’s tour was great in and of itself, but the benefits of talking with her extended well past those four hours. Many thanks!

For those of you that want to fall in love with Prague, Martina is the guide you want to hire.

There are free tours, there are books and it will tell you on what year this building was made and stuff like that. Martina will tell you what the Czechs lived thru, where they are going and why she loves her city so much not for 4 or 5 days like us but since forever like she does. She answered all my questions but one ( why are there so many elephants pictured in Prague ) on a two days walking around tour and she showed me little places I would not have seen on my own. For example, I know now where I would go to read a book and spend a day looking at other go about their busy lives while doing absolutely nothing.

She is sweet, she is knowledgeable and, if I am writing this review today it is because she is an absolute honest and kind person. I did the tour with her in march of 2012 and promised I would come back in the summer time at one point in my life. Well, this year, I had the opportunity to bring a friend in Prague and I inquired about her availabilities. She had none but agreed to extend one of her days of work to make a tour with us in the late afternoon / early evening time. On the day of the tour, my friend twisted her ankle and was unable to attend and since I wanted to stay with her to look after her needs, I e-mailed Martina apologizing that we would not be there but insisting that she passed by our hotel or give me an address where I could send her at least half of what we would have paid for the tour because it was the right thing to do. Insisted twice now and twice the answer I received back was that it was ok, that she understood and that I didn’t owe her anything. Now you tell me, this kind of honesty isn’t what you want in a guide? Thanks for everything Martina, hope to see you again in the future.

My wife and I visited Prague in June 2015 during our honeymoon. After doing two different tours in Prague that were Very disappointing, we decided to pay the money for a private tour. We really wanted to understand Czech history, Gain a true appreciation for Prague and the surrounding area, and hear it from a local. We booked a last minute private day tour with Martina, who drove us to a destination we wished to see (Kutna Hora), and we feel like we got really lucky! Martina picked us up from our hotel in Mala Strana, and drove us to Kutna Hora while telling us everything we had been hoping to learn about during our previous two tours. Martina helped us to understand the history of the Czech Republic and Bohemia (and Europe too!), the important figures and dates that shaped the country, and really painted a vivid picture for us of her beautiful country. She is perfectly fluent in English, and easily explained everything from the building of the astronomical clock, to the wealth derived from the silver mines of Kutna Hora, to the Velvet Revolution (which she actually lived through, recounting her personal experience). Martina was an absolute breath of fresh air, and a real pleasure to spend the day with. My wife has family roots in the countryside, and we definitely plan to return, and will be booking a tour with Martina in advance. She is worth every penny (or Koruna!), and we give her our highest recommendation!

    Dear Martina,
Greetings from Ohio USA. Linda and I wanted to thank you for your wonderful tour and for accommodating our schedule on a Sunday. As you know Prague was our starting point for a July 2015 AMA river cruise and part of that package was a Prague city tour on Monday. Not wanting to duplicate sites you customized a great tour highlighting some of the lesser known places in Prague. What a neat city by the way. Martina, your English is better than ours, your knowledge of architecture and your sense of history made your tour all the more meaningful. Thank you again. Larry and Linda Beer

One of the best tours I have ever had. Martina was very personable and informative. Her planned walking route, showcased the best of Prague’s Cubist and Art Nouveau architecture. She would often draw our attention to specifics that we had not taken in, almost as if she understood what we were not seeing. I highly recommend this tour. Chris Walden
